The Story Behind KwikTik

My name is Adeola Samuel Ayomide, and I'm the founder of KwikTik. Like a lot of good ideas, this one didn't come from a boardroom. It came from being stuck at home with nowhere to go.
There were countless weekends I wanted to be out, at a concert, a show, a gathering happening somewhere in the city, but I simply had no reliable way to find out what was on, or to grab a ticket without stress, long queues, or the fear of buying a fake one. I kept asking myself: why is it this hard to just go out and enjoy an event in Nigeria?
"KwikTik exists because I was tired of being at home with nowhere to go, and I decided to build the platform I wished existed."
That frustration became the seed for KwikTik. I set out to build a platform that puts every event (concerts, parties, conferences, get togethers) right in your pocket, with instant, verified, QR coded tickets and a payment experience that actually works for Nigerians.
But the "nowhere to go" problem was bigger than events alone. Some nights you don't want a ticketed event, you just want a good restaurant, a lounge with the right vibe, a club worth showing up to, or a quiet cafe to unwind in, and you still don't know where to find one you can trust. That's why we built Spot: a place inside KwikTik where you can discover restaurants, lounges, clubs, bars, and cafes by vibe, hand picked and reviewed by people who've actually been there. No guesswork, no dead ends, just real places worth showing up for, tonight or any night.
Today, as a full stack developer and founder, I'm building KwikTik from the ground up, driven by one belief: Nigeria deserves platforms that are fast, honest, and genuinely useful.
